Coachella music and arts festival in Indio, Calif., starts this weekend and if you’re in Connecticut you’ll want to livestream - here’s a guide for that. https://liveforlivemusic.com/news/coachella-2025-livestream-guide-schedule/
The Festival today to April 13 continues April 18 to 20.
Lucky attendees go to Coachella to see big music artists come and perform on both weekends. This year some of the main artists performing are Lady Gaga, Green Day, Charli xcx, and Post Malone.
There are also various art installations on the grounds, being interactive and immersive. For example, this year one of the installation artists is Stephanie Lin. She created a piece called “Taffy.” This art consists of seven cylinders, being 25 to 50 feet tall. The colors of the cylinders shift with the sun's movement. There are benches around the installation so people can sit and enjoy the art.
This festival is very popular for social media influencers to go to, which are people with a big following on their social media accounts. Some popular influencers attending this year and have gone in the past are James Charles, Alix Earle, and Charli D’amelio. Big artists also attend the festival for fun. This year Justin Bieber, Tate McRae, and Louis Tomlinson were spotted in the crowd.
There tends to be a certain trend of attire people wear to the festival. People always go all out in their outfits, almost like their outfit is an art exhibit in itself. Some popular items worn are flowy tops or skirts, boots, beaded accessories, or baggy jeans with an interesting top. Usually during the festival it can get up to 100 degrees, but that won’t stop people from wearing what they want.

Some influencers, for example James Charles, will start planning his outfits months in advance. People post their outfits on social media. A few days after the festival some influencers will make videos rating other influencers' Coachella outfits, which is why what they wear is a big deal.
Sometimes it can be a toxic environment because they never know what the public will think of their outfit, and if no one likes it people will be ruthless in the comments of the outfit post.
Non-influencers can attend Coachella as well. It can cost $499 plus fees for a general admission ticket, while a VIP ticket is $1,269 plus fees.
Coachella has car camping, as well as tent camping which both require passes. The campgrounds have showers and bathrooms where people can freshen up. A car camping pass is around $390 and is the most popular option. This saves people from having to get a hotel, they can just wake up and walk to the festival from their car.
Coachella can be overwhelming with the amount of people and art to see, but it is a great experience to have if able to go.
