New England on the east coast has always been known for its beautiful long backroads, old fashioned towns, autumn foliage, and rocky coastlines. It’s filled with a mixture of natural beauty and historic charm throughout. New England consists of six states. Maine, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. It’s the perfect American book with the most stunning front cover. But behind the front cover, is a book filled with multiple cold cases, horror stories, myths, legends, and missing people.
Lately, there have been remains turning up all over New England. Specifically in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Over time, FaceBook group chats have been formed and TikTok videos have been shared all around. Some with over 3 millions views with tags such as “Serial in New England,” “New England,” and “Connecticut.”
Since the beginning of March, there have been 11 bodies and remains found within all 3 states. On March 6 the body of later identified 35-year-old Paige Fannon was found in the Norwalk River. According to an advisory posted by Norwalk Police Department, the body was found “Near the area of Main Avenue and Grist Mill Road.” It was then recovered by the Norwalk Police Department SCUBA Team with the help of the Norwalk Fire Department. Also on March 6th, a human skull was discovered off of Route 3 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It was buried under a pile of leaves.
Between March 20 and March 26, the remains of 3 different women were found, two in Connecticut and one in Rhode Island.
On March 20th, human remains were found in a suitcase near a cemetery. A Groton, Connecticut man has since been charged with the murder of Suzanne Wormser. This was brought about after it was determined Donald Coffel, 68, hit Wormser with a baseball bat that ultimately opened her head. After searching the apartment they shared, more of Wormser’s remains were found.
These are only 3 of 11 cases! And although Coffel has been charged with one murder, who has done the others? Is it a coincidence? New England residents have been frustrated. They want answers.
And truly, all of New England is concerned. Authorities have repeatedly said there is no connection according to reports including here on Yahoo.
Communities across New England desperately wait to hear more.
