Attending college can be found intimidating by some and stressful by others. The majority of our CT State College students work full time as full/part time students.
This leaves almost no time to look into resources that CT State College has to offer to its students.
Here are a few resources found in some and if not all 12 campuses to help with your success!
In-person and Online Tutoring
All 12 campuses give students access to both online and in-person tutoring, free of charge! Tutoring involves receiving help on material in a variety of areas and subjects. You gain or strengthen knowledge with course content. This is something that is highly suggested to be taken advantage of.

Technology Support
Some students may have trouble accessing or working Blackboard and other engines used by CT State. It can be fearful or just a lack of familiarity. To help ease the overwhelming feeling, 3 out of the 12 campuses provide assistance with these troubles. These campuses include:

Academic Coaching
Have you ever struggled with time management? Or with study skills/habits? Maybe you want to improve your skills as a student. CT State campuses offer one on one sessions with an academic coach to help develop skills to better YOUR learning. 4 campuses offer this support. These include:

Workshops
Even though tutoring can be very helpful, learning workshops focused on specific subjects are incredibly helpful for students that seek a better understanding or improvement in a particular area. Receiving guidance with the ability to ask questions and engage with experts is an opportunity you should not miss out on! 2 campuses promote these workshops:
Housatonic, Middlesex
Taking advantage of these resources provided by CT State is vital for your academic success and personal growth. CT State takes pride in what they have to offer and want to see their students thrive. Additionally, utilizing these 5 resources can really make a difference in your educational career and reduce stress while enhancing your college experience.
The official CT State website states, “Tutoring and academic support services are available to current CT State students at any campus”, so please don’t feel discouraged when you see a support service not offered on your home campus.
You can find all the information provided here. As the new 2025 year begins, from one student to another, I hope that your academic school year starts off right.
