HARTFORD, Conn. – The Hartford Yard Goats held their annual job fair on

Feb. 11. This was the Yardgoats' 11th job fair after launching

the event in 2015.

The fair is an opportunity for CT Community College students to obtain

summer employment, as the Yard Goats staff around 300 people each year. Open positions

include ushers, ticket takers, grounds crew, merchandise, and more.

Working for the Yardgoats also comes with a variety of perks, such as free tickets, VIP parties

with prizes, and on-field batting practices for the staff. For those who are unable to attend the job fair, the Yardgoats have posted online applications for their game day positions here.

Additionally, the Yard Goats held a Facebook contest to find their next National Anthem singer for this upcoming season. If you are interested in selecting who will be the Anthem Singer this year, contestants have posted their audition videos in the comments of this post. The person who receives the most likes on their video will be declared the winner of the contest.

The Hartford Yard Goats are an affiliate team of the Colorado Rockies, and they compete in the Double-A Eastern League. Dunkin’ Park, located at 1214 Main St., has been home to the YardGoats since the stadium opened back in 2017. The 2026 season will mark the team's 10th year playing in Hartford.

The Yard Goats have only made the playoffs once during their last 10 seasons, but are looking to see improvements as they have recently made a new hire at the manager position. On Feb. 3, it was announced that Robinson Cancel, former catcher for the New York Mets, will become the sixth manager in franchise history.

There will also be numerous promotional events in the 2026 calendar, with one of them being a fireworks show after every Friday and Saturday evening home game. On May 28, the Yard Goats will be taking the field as the Rock Cats and giving away limited edition David Ortiz “Big Papi” bobbleheads to the first 1,000 fans, as a way to honor his time with the Rock Cats organization.

The Yard Goats will start the year out on April 2, with a three-game home stand against the

Chesapeake Baysox, the affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles. Hartford’s schedule consists of 69

regular-season home games spanning from the beginning of April until September
