The benefits of community college being free

By Tony Fandozzi

College is expensive. That's how the economy works, with people having to pay thousands of dollars to go to college, which is inadequate because some people can’t afford is. That's where people either stay at home and go to a college near where they live, or attend community college. But Connecticut residents with a CT high school diploma or GED and who register for at least six credits will automatically be eligible for free tuition at Connecticut. State Community College.

It benefits thousands of people because they do not have to pay for college; they don’t have to deal with the daily debt some people have to deal with. I can even say that someone who didn’t have a lot of money going to college, I didn’t know where to go to college at first. But then, when mom suggested community college, I was unsure if I really wanted to go. I didn’t want to go because it wasn’t the normal path. Which made me not want to go at first, but then I was getting to a certain place where I had signed up for something and doing so by going to the community, which was the best decision made was going.

I interviewed John Acrbult who talked about their experience. “I was very certain I was going to go because I wanted save money, but all the college nearby were charging a lot to even enroll where I didn’t even know if I could go. But then I found community college where I ended up finding a lot better resources that I didn’t see at the other university. Which was they being more helpful and they seem more together.”

That is where people say its a good starting block to start there because if you are uncertain about finance and what you want, to do, it's good. Some people waste money on their degree where they don’t know what they want to do. Some people waste so much money because of it. They are very unsure of what is going to happen. What is the next step? What career do they want to have? because they are unsure.

Kenth Reese told me, “Yea, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I wasn’t about to go to college, which really made me upset because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. I was thinking about a gap year until. I found about community college which rethinks what I want to do. I was able to take a new class where I could learn what career path I wanted to go on. With spending money.”

This helps so many people out. Even people who didn’t get to finish school or didn’t start school at an older age are helped. Where they could accomplish stuff, they could not do it. Due to finance or other reasons. This change of law changes many lives. This helps a better community and better me. I hope you think about going down this path. If you do it will have you save a lot of money and it will have you figure out a lot of stuff that you could do in the future, with a lot of new life adventures.
