I was cordially invited to the Fourth Annual Aurision Music Awards in
Brooklyn, New York. Accompanied by a studio audience, this award show
celebrated the achievements of emerging artists across different genres,
many of whom are based in New York City and the Greater Metropolitan Area.
Hosted by Kayvan MD, the event brought together musicians, media
professionals, and fans for a night of musical performances and
recognition.
Aurision produces various artist spotlights and playlists throughout
the year. During the few weeks leading up to the ceremony, many rising
New York artists were selected as nominees. Nominees included Lexa Gates, Roy Blair, 2hollis, and Samara Cyn, among many others.
Aurision also has released a playlist featuring tracks from this
year’s nominees, allowing audiences to familiarize themselves with the
artists’ work. You can find their nominee playlists, artist spotlights a @aurisi0n.
The awards ceremony featured live performances from Estephanie, Laura Elliot, and Yoshi T. All three performing artists had their own unique sound. Estephanie embraced an Alternative R&B style of music, while Laura Elliot leaned toward an indie/ acoustic sound.
Laura Elliot showcased her natural gift and skill on the acoustic guitar.
Unforgettable is Yoshi T, who brought back the early 2000’s with
his catchy, ringtone style of RNB. The performances provided the
audience with a peek into the rich diversity and talent that is in the Brooklyn
independent music scene. The event concluded with the announcement of
the winners, who were recognized for their contributions to music over the
