What’s coming up at a CT State Campus Near You!

By Mia Sandoval

Our campuses always have fun, events,

volunteer work, and trips there are offered

to students to help others or to also have

some fun for themselves. These events can

be trips to New York City and visiting

certain attractions or getting involved with

other students and staff to give back to your

community. Most if not all of these events,

meetings, or workshops, are held at many

of our campus locations.

Join a club

Join or start a club & learn about campus events at

CT State Gateway - SGA General Body Meeting on

Thursdays, located at S109 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.

Give Back Day is Monday, March 23

An upcoming opportunity is Give Back Day on Monday,

March 23rd, from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. at

the Student Lounge in W111 on the Norwalk campus. Lunch will be provided

The day is to

encouraging students to join in giving

back to their community by creating self-care

packages for people in need. This is also in

recognition of Women’s History Month. Packages

will be made and sent to a local family shelter in

support of women and families in the community.

Students can enjoy many of these events depending on what

they like.

All 12 campuses

There are a wide variety of events happening across all

12 campuses and it’s not just taking trips but also on site

activities like Cup of Creativity, it is on campus and you get to

be hands on and create your own mug. Earlier this month a Vanderbilt Rooftop trip to New York at Summit One was offered, among the kinds of trips to the city available through the college.

College experience

You can really tell that those in charge of creating these

events and activities are very dedicated to giving

students that great and memorable college experience,

and an opportunity to have fun when sometimes

schoolwork, stress and our personal lives tend to get in

the way. Getting involved, volunteering or just going on a

fun trip are great opportunities to grow personally and

academically, but also make our college experiences one

of the best ones yet
