Norwalk Community College held the Academic Festival on the 6th and 7th of April following
health regulations, it was carried out remotely. I had the opportunity to learn from various
speakers dealing with issues focused on justice, culture, and social support.
The academic festival was a pleasant surprise. Given the circumstances of the pandemic, the
speakers introduced themselves with a nice presentation. These presentations had in common
the interest to let me learn and enjoy the new information. I particularly enjoyed it when speaker
Prof. Kenausis, NCC professor of Math from Liberal Arts expressed his passion on Where do
we (end our money) go on payday? his presentation gave advice and help to be able to become
aware of our economy.
Norwalk Community College is presenting the Academic Festival to create opportunities for
students to engage in the community. The presentation left a pleasant feeling, and it is
appreciated that the college is carrying out events for students. As someone who wanted to
learn more about banks, credits, and money I decided to attend Prof. Kenausis presentation.
Attending the conference taught me about how banks handle money. For instant, I now
understand that credit cards can be the best ally or the worst enemy, it is important to know how
to use them and handled.
Prof. Kenausis was able to give us a good idea of what to ask and question before applying or
accepting a credit card. He made a remarkable lecture about loans. I never question myself
about borrow money. Is it good or is it bad? The information shared in the presentation helped
to decided important actions in my finance. It was a really enriching presentation of knowledge
on the subject.
It is important to take the time to attend the presentations because the information on the
presentations it is incredibly good for our life. I highly recommend attending the Academic
Festival in the future all knowledge shared in the presentations is essential in the day by day.
Give the chance to learn something new.
