“This is another obstacle that’s in the way of trying to get an education,” said Lexi Kleinman, president of the NCC Student Government Association. Currently, these students and staff who take public transportation to NCC may have to wait 40 minutes for the alternate Route 11, Route 13, or Connecticut Avenue evening shuttle buses to arrive.
Norwalk Mayor Harry Rilling spoke about his own time studying at NCC. He was joined by State Sen. Bob Duff, who sent a letter to Morton last month saying he was “disheartened” by the transit district’s suspension of the shuttle that is an “essential means of transportation for NCC students, faculty and staff.”
